What information LeadScraper handles, why we handle it, who we share it with, and how to have a record removed.
Template notice. This document is a drafting starting point, not legal advice, and it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Have counsel review and adapt it for your jurisdiction, your actual data practices and your processors before you publish it.
01.Who we are
LeadScraper operates https://lead-scraper.orangeglacier-46fc85b5.eastus.azurecontainerapps.io and the LeadScraper application. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and what choices you have. Questions go to support@leadfinder.com.
02.Information you give us
We collect only what the service needs to work and to bill you accurately.
- Account information: your name, email address and, optionally, your company name.
- Billing information: processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card details on our systems.
- Search inputs: the service, state and city values you submit, retained so you can revisit your projects.
- Support correspondence: messages you send us and our replies.
03.Information we collect automatically
Like most web services we record technical information to keep the product secure and working: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring URL and timestamps. We use this for security, fraud prevention, debugging and aggregate product analytics.
04.Business contact data we process
LeadScraper returns business contact information gathered from publicly available sources — company websites, business listings, public directories and public professional profiles. This is business-to-business data: company names, business phone numbers, work email addresses, professional titles and public professional profile links.
We do not knowingly collect or sell consumer data, special-category personal data, or health, financial or biometric information about individuals. LeadScraper is not intended for consumer marketing.
05.How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide the service: run searches, deliver records, apply credits and generate exports.
- Bill you for delivered records and maintain your credit balance.
- Provide support and respond to your enquiries.
- Detect, prevent and investigate abuse, fraud and security incidents.
- Improve the product using aggregate, de-identified usage patterns.
06.Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the service you signed up for); legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement, and B2B contact data processing for legitimate business communication); consent where we ask for it; and legal obligation where the law requires retention.
08.International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
09.Retention
Account and billing records are kept while your account is active and afterwards for as long as needed to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. Search history and delivered records are retained so you can access your projects, and are deleted on request or when you close your account.
10.Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal information, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — note that we do not sell your account information.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@leadfinder.com. We verify requests before acting on them and respond within the period required by applicable law.
11.Removal requests for business contact data
If you appear in data returned by LeadScraper and want your record suppressed, email support@leadfinder.com with the details. We honour removal requests and suppress matching records from future results. We do not require you to hold an account to make this request.
12.Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege internal permissions and monitoring to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify affected users and regulators of a qualifying breach as required by law.
14.Children's privacy
LeadScraper is a business tool and is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
15.Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the “last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated to account holders by email.
